A Lazy Girl's Body Moisturising Picks

Moisturising my face... twice daily without fail. Lips... I slather on balm like it's going out of fashion. Hands too, I've got a hand cream stashed in every place I might need one. But when it comes to the rest of my body, I'm seriously lazy and neglectful. I have a box of unopened body lotions and butters that I just can't seem to get in the habit of using. My skin doesn't feel dry to the touch, but I'm sure it would appreciate a good dose of moisture. So to get at least some kind of hydration to my skin, I have a handful of cheat products that make me feel like I'm making a lil bit of effort. These are a lazy girl's body moisturising picks.

The consistency of Whipped Clean is just like Soap and Glory have taken a body butter and diluted it slightly to make one seriously creamy, velvety shower cream. It contains 25% oils and butters, including Sweet Almond Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter and smells amazing - nutty but sweet thanks to the addition of Vanilla and Pistachio. It may not be intensely moisturising, but it is much more so than your standard SLS shower gel.

First there was hair conditioner, then Lush thought - why not a body conditioner that works the same way? I absolutely love this concept - I hop into the shower, apply to wet skin and then rinse off before I jump out. With Almond Oil, Brazil Nut Oil, Shea Butter and Argan Oil as just four of the ingredients, I can still feel the hydrating effects of this thick, smooth cream even after it's gone. Even better is that it has my favourite Rose Jam scent, although it isn't quite as strong as in other products.

I know, I know, Lush only bring out Butterbear at Christmas. However I've still included it because all year round you can get the Butterball Bath Bomb, which is exactly the same but just not bear shaped! This is the most moisturising bath bomb I've tried to date - probably because it contains very few ingredients, two of which are Cocoa Butter and Ylang Ylang Oil. You can really feel it working its magic on the skin and the creamy, buttery scent lingers for ages after getting out of the bath.

Now this pick does require me to be less lazy when compared to the others, however it is so easy to use and requires less effort than a body lotion or butter. The combination of a spray applicator and a dry oil formula means you barely have to rub it into the skin and as per the name, it dries super quick. Watermelon Seed Oil and Jojoba Seed Oil add moisture and of course, the lovely fresh and fruity scent.

What are your go-to products for body moisturising, especially for lazy days?

  9. I've been meaning to try the Whipped clean shower butter for so long but have never got round to it. At home I moisturise every time I get out of the shower (not so much when I'm staying at my boyfriends) but I have problems with finding products that my skin actually absorbs fully and I hate a sticky/tacky feeling left on my skin x

  12. These are some of my fave products, I moisturise every day! It's a habit I think I got from my mother. I still have loads of un used products like you though. The bear from Lush is great, and the soap and glory shower creme is a great idea when you're busy. The Ro's Argan BC is something I really want to try for sure! :D

    Great post!
