It isn't just Lush's bath/shower products that smell downright amazing, I've ventured into their haircare range and I can't stop smelling my freshly washed locks. It can't be wrong to start washing my hair every day if haircare smells THAT good... right?
First up is the Jason and the Argan Oil Shampoo Bar, which is strongly scented with Lush's famous Rose Jam scent. It's possibly one of my favourite scents ever; a mixture of organic Rose Absolute, Geranium Oil, Rose Oil and Sicilian Lemon Oil. It's not a traditional rose scent; it has a sweetness and touch of muskiness about it that may just sway you if you normally avoid florals. This is the first time I've tried a solid shampoo bar and it lathers up better than I expected (it does contain SLS though) - you simply wet the bar and rub it in your hands to produce the bubbles. The Argan Oil means my thick hair feels soft and moisturised, but it felt surprisingly heavy when massaging it in and I'm careful to rinse it out well, so I'm not sure if this would be as suited for very fine hair.
Next up is the dreamy American Cream Conditioner, which smells like a strawberry vanilla milkshake with a citrus twist. It is divine. When I use this on my hair at 7am, I can still smell it on my hair at 5pm when I'm switching off my work computer and running for the door to go home. I even made my work colleague smell my hair the first time I used it because I couldn't believe how well the scent lingered. The only thing is, I feel like I need to use a bit extra on my hair than I normally would, because although it's creamy, it's quite a thin formula and as I mentioned, my hair is pretty thick. But to be honest when it smells so darn LUSH, I can let that little niggle go. Oh and did I mention it's seriously smoothing and makes my ends feel the closest to silky it can?
What is your favourite smelling haircare?

I've tried the shampoo bar from Lush before but I didn't really get on with it very well. I found it disappointing and it didn't really nourish my hair or make it feel like it had been washed.

DeleteI absolutely adore Lush products (especially bath ones) but seems like it's about time I venture into their haircare products too! I've never tried a shampoo bar before, so I'm definitely going to have a look at the Jason and the Argon Oil Shampoo Bar! Thank you for sharing this :) xx

Haha I wouldn't blame you if you did!! xx
DeleteThe American Cream conditioner sounds amazing, its so hard to find hair products where the scent actually lasts in the hair! x

This is the only thing I've used in my hair where the scent has lasted so long xx
DeleteA friend bought me American Cream for my birthday a few years ago and it smells amazing! I was trying to use up my various bottles of shampoo so I could make a start on trying some of Lush's solid shampoo bars but then I decided to dye my hair red and wasn't sure if they'd be the best thing to use. If they contain SLS then they definitely aren't as I've gone SLS free to try and actually keep the red in my hair! x

It is a shame they contain SLS. I wonder if any of their other liquid shampoos contain it too? Might be worth a look xx
DeleteOhh I really like the sound of the hair conditioner I'm gonna have a sniff next time I'm in Lush!
