You Beauty Discovery Box August 2015

August's You Beauty Discovery Box has dropped and yet again it's another good one. After July's amazing box (here) I thought this month would be a bit of a let down, but I'm really happy with it. The theme for August is "Summer Essentials" and as usual is a real mixture of skincare, makeup and haircare from a mixture of brands. I found it quite easy to make my two product choices this month.

My first choice was the Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster in a 15ml bottle worth £18.00.  I couldn't believe it when I googled it and found this was the full size! This contains a high powered, five source Vitamin C complex to hydrate, nourish and protect the skin, while smoothing out lines and wrinkles. I'm so glad I have the opportunity to try this as I've seen a number of bloggers sing it's praises!

I went for an item of makeup for my second choice - a 3.5g pot of Inika's Mineral Bronzer in 02 Sunkissed. Unbelievably this is another full size product worth £20.50!! This loose powder doesn't contain talc but does include Titanium and Zinc Oxides for some natural, inbuilt sun protection. I am a total blusher girl but I'm on that hunt for the perfect bronzer to convert me, which is why I couldn't pass this product up. From an initial hand swatch I think the colour may be a tad too bronze for my skin tone and their 01 shade would be better, however I will try really blending it into my cheeks and see if I can get it to work.

The extra treats this month are a large sachet of the Sienna X Gradual Glowing Self Tan and something I didn't expect - the first chapter of a book called The Mortal Instruments 1: City of Bones, which is a New York Times bestselling series by Cassandra Clarke. From the description the plot is based around the main character, an ordinary girl called Clary, who discovers another world with vampires, werewolves, demons and witches. I will be giving this a read for definite.

If you like the sound of the August You Beauty Discovery Box, you can pick it up for just £6.95 here. Considering my box is worth more than five times the cost of the box I think that's £6.95 very well spent! Other brands on offer include Tresemme, Stila, ModelCo, Strivectin, Philosophy and Peggy Sage.

What do you think of this month's box?
