Review: Collection Gorgeous Glow Block and Speedy Blush Stick

Last month Collection released some new cheek products in time for summer; the Gorgeous Glow Block in two shades - Blush and Bronze and Speedy Blush Stick in three shades - Tickled Pink, Cheeky and Pinch Me.

I have both shades of the Gorgeous Glow Block, which are £4.19 each. Blush contains 5 rows of mainly pink toned shades, which contain a fine but concentrated gold shimmer that overall equals a beautiful rose gold hue. Bronze is the same but has a mixture of golden brown and of course, bronze shades. The swatches below show each row layered together and as you can see, are extremely pigmented. Plus there isn't lots of powdery excess when you sweep your brush over the block, which can often happen with budget powders. If you want to go for a strong highlighted cheekbone or shimmering blush, then these blocks are perfect. Unfortunately they contain talc so they aren't a product I can use every day, but I will set them aside for an evening out.

I have the shade Cheeky in the Speedy Blush Stick, which costs £3.99. I love stick applicators for cream formulas as they're so quick and easy to use and can usually be blended with the warmth of your fingers. Cheeky is a lovely red toned pink shade that delivers a pigmented line of colour in one swipe, which when blended delivers a pretty, warm flush of colour to the cheeks. The wear time is around 6 hours before beginning to fade, so it doesn't quite last through a working day, however I wouldn't expect much longer from a pure cream formula.

My favourite product has to be the Speedy Blush Stick in Cheeky, which you can find here. If it's the Gorgeous Glow Blocks that catch your eye, then you can find both shades here

Have you tried either of these Collection products?
