Scents to Burn This Summer

I'm obsessed with candles and wax melts and just like perfume, I tend to switch between candle scents as the seasons change. In Winter I tend to go for warming spicy and woody scents and in Summer I gravitate towards refreshing floral, fruity and citrus scents. I've been burning some delicious ones recently that are the perfect addition to my summer evening.

I love scents that stray from the traditional and Pink Lemonade is one that I haven't come across anywhere else. Made up of a blend of ripe strawberries, lemon juice, pink grapefruit and champagne fizz, it has a sweet edge but manages to remain light and refreshing. The jar will provide 50 hours of burn time and I love how you can see pink coloured soy wax through the jar, which is decorated with a very cute flamingo. Pink Lemonade is such a brightening addition to my home!

Kiss-Air Candles recently released an Ice Cream Parlour range for summer, which is absolute genius, as they just ooze sunshine and relaxing in the park. I've always been impressed with the strength and depth of their candle scents and Mint Choc Chip and Salted Caramel are no exception; their aroma delicately wafts around the room with just the lid off! They smell exactly like ice cream too, which of course makes me crave one each time! Packaged in recyclable tins, each one provides 25-30 hours burn time using natural soyabean wax.

You can't beat the scent of lime in the summer - or the taste in a cocktail! The Lime Blossom candle combines the zesty, citrus lime with orange blossom, cardamom, jasmine, petitgrain and amber, which gives it a beautifully musky edge. It's a very reviving scent that can be enjoyed for around 35 hours or so. The purple wax hearts are such a pretty addition to the candle too; it's almost too pretty to burn!

Yankee Candle Simply Home Grapefruit Wax Melt
I very nearly picked up the candle in this scent but as you can see I already have a few to use, so I thought the wax melt would give me my grapefruit fix for the time being. This is such a simple scent but simple doesn't always mean boring - this is so uplifting and really brightens my mood, striking the perfect balance between sweet and tart.

What candles and scents will you be burning this summer?
