I first saw this post over on Vicki's blog Let's Talk Beauty and thought it was such a lovely, personal post to read - so positive and inspiring. I'm definitely a person that tends to look at the glass half empty, so this was the perfect challenge for me!

NOTD: The Must Have Essie Polish for Summer

Essie have some real gems in their huge shade selection and many of them have been well documented in the blogging world - Mint Candy Apple, Bikini So Teeny and Bahama Mama are a few that spring to mind. The latest on my radar is courtesy of Essie Button; Splash of Grenadine.

Beauty Wishlist #7 - The Skincare Edit

When it comes to my (never ending) beauty wishlist, more often than not it's primarily skincare products. I'm always subconsciously on the lookout for new products that might up my skincare game and I do like to invest in them, because at the end of the day, makeup will always look better when your skin does. I'm currently eyeing up...

Review: Vichy Dermablend Corrective Stick Foundation in Opal

Despite being an avid fan of the Vichy Dermablend Fluid Corrective Foundation for many years, I haven't until now tried any of their other makeup products. I've been trying out the Dermablend Corrective Stick Foundation for awhile now, which offers all of the benefits of the liquid formula, just in a different form. This includes high coverage, all day wear, non-comedogenic ingredients, SPF30 and no fragrance. I have the shade Opal, which is the lightest in the range.

You Beauty Discovery Box May 2015

This month's You Beauty Discovery Box celebrates the impending CEW (Cosmetic Executive Women) 2015 Beauty Awards by offering a selection of products from the nominated awards' finalists. With brands including La Roche-Posay, Benefit, Dr Organic, Too Faced and The Body Shop, I had a feeling it would be a popular box, so I made my product choices first thing in the morning for fear of missing out like last month!

Save, Spend, Splurge: Cream Eyeshadow Sticks

It's official: I am in love with cream eyeshadow sticks. They're so easy to use as they can be applied directly to the eye and the formula is generally so long wearing and resistant from creasing, you can get away without using a primer. I currently have just three eyeshadow sticks in my life (I need more), but they're all different prices so there's one for every budget.

Powder Puff Girl

I've always been a fan of powders - once upon a time I used powder foundation but now I use them to set my liquid base products and get rid of unwanted oil or shine. I like a matte finish! However I can't use your average face powder from the high street because most of them contain very high levels of talc, which clogs my pores and breaks me out. Therefore all my powders are talc free - they still give a soft finish and mattify my skin but they're more finely milled and so don't look as heavy.

Recently Released: Rene Furterer Lissea Haircare Range

I am all about hair products right now and my latest additions come from the Rene Furterer Lissea range, which has launched exclusively at Escentual. The french brand uses plant extracts and essential oils to actively enhance the hair and is based on the principle "beautiful hair grows from a healthy scalp, just like a plant in fertile soil". The Lissea range is fortified with Winter Cherry Extract and Avocado Oil and so is specifically designed to smooth and tame unmanageable, frizzy hair and replenish dry, weakened hair.
