My Knotty Hair Saviour: The Wet Brush

When I get out of the shower one of the first things I have to contend with is my wet and knotty hair. I usually arm myself with my leave-in conditioner (the Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance) and a standard hairbrush, but the latter has been relegated. Enter my new weapon: The Wet Brush.

Although it is called The Wet Brush, it can actually be used on dry hair too and I use it for both. I can't get over how amazingly well this works; it practically glides through hair as if to say, "what knots?!". No tugging, no pulling, zero effort. The Wet Brush accredits this to its Intelliflex bristles, which are super thin, strong and flexible, bouncing back after each stroke to eliminate hair breakage and any pain often associated with de-tangling. The ends of the bristles, called SofTips, are designed to be gentle enough to massage the scalp, yet firm enough to tease out knots.

If you struggle with knotty hair and are in need of some extra help, I'd seriously recommend The Wet Brush. It's been my knotty hair saviour and I can't see myself without it now. There's lots of different colours to choose from and it's affordable too, coming in at around the £9.00 mark on Amazon here (I believe the full price is £11.99). I want to get the mini version now for my handbag, which is rather adorably called The Squirt.

Have you tried The Wet Brush? If not, do you have a knotty hair saviour?

  1. I haven't tried the Wet Brush but I'm definitely interested in one :) I love the Tangle Teezer I have so it would be interesting to see if this was better :)

  2. Going to have to get this for my daughter Sasha - sounds ideal as she has a mass of hair that's always tangled - especially when wet! xx

  4. wow, I never heard of this one. When I read this post I thought "oh great, another thing you'll have to order in the UK", but as it turns out it is available in Germany as well. Yay.
At the moment I'm using a Tangle Teezer, but I recently bleached my hair and now it's SO knotty after washing it that even the Tangle Teezer can't help.
So I guess I'll buy a Wet Brush and hope it saves my hair.

    1. I'm so glad it's available where you are Bianka, especially if the Tangle Teezer isn't doing what you need it to xx

  10. I tend to stick to my standard Denham but might give this a go. Never used a tangle teaser as I like brushes with handles... Are the dangers of brushing when wet just a load of rubbish then?
