December Empties #3

I certainly got some through some products in December, probably the most in one month for a long time! Of course it had to be in one of the most expensive months of the year didn't it?!

NEOM Organics Christmas Wish Scented Candle 185g* - £32.00
Scented with Mandarin, Cinnamon and Tonka Bean, this was the perfect candle to burn over Christmas time. It has a really warming and comforting scent that lingered in the house for ages. Full review here.
Re-purchase? For next Christmas definitely.

NARS Sheer Glow Sample Pot - FREE
I asked for a sample of this famous foundation when purchasing the Radiant Creamy Concealer in Space N.K. I have a first impressions post coming later this month, so watch this space!
Purchase full size? Let's just say that a purchase is imminent!

Yours Truly Organics Fix Me! Repairing Serum 30ml* - £28.00
I really loved using this serum - the formula is 88% natural and is hydrating, whilst having gentle anti-inflammatory properties, which worked great on my breakouts. Full review here.
Re-purchase? I will definitely get this again in the future.

Skinlix Sweet Orange and Lemon Body Scrub Sample Pot* - FREE
When it comes to body scrubs I like them really scrubby and this sugar formula ticks that box. Plus I love the sweet but delicate citrus scent. Full review here.
Purchase full size? It's on my wishlist, so at some point yes.

L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream 30ml - £8.00
I've mentioned many times that this is my favourite hand cream - it's rich, velvety formula gives a really intensive moisture boost to dry hands.
Re-purchase? I already have a few of the scented ones in my stash waiting to be used!

Organix Passionfruit Guava Shampoo 385ml* - £5.99
This SLS free shampoo has a thick gel formula with an exotic, fruity scent that leaves hair soft and silky. It works a treat at cleaning makeup brushes too.
Re-purchase? It's half price on Fragrance Direct (here), so that's too good to refuse I think.

Molton Brown Gingerlily Mini Candle* - Came as part of the Gingerlily Perfect Bathing Set
I love the spicy, woody scent of the Gingerlily range - my other half liked it too! This candle is very small so didn't last very long, but was lovely to use all the same.
Purchase full size? It's a limited edition scent, so probably not.

Organic Surge Orange Flower Toner 200ml - £7.50
This is my second bottle of this hydrating toner and it also featured in my recent My Favourite Skincare Discoveries of 2014 post. The refreshing formula is the perfect prep for serum application. Full review here.
Re-purchase? Yes.

GLAMGLOW SUPERMUD Clearing Treatment 2 x 2.1ml Sachets - Worth approx. £2.78 each
These sachets came as part of the "Try before you buy" Revitalise sample pack from GLAMGLOW's website (here). My first impressions are very good - the mud based mask changes colour where it's working on the congested areas, reduces redness on existing spots and leaves my skin unbelievably soft and smooth.
Purchase full size? It's on my list for when I can afford it.

Lush Holly Golightly Bubble Bar - £4.75
It was the sweet and spicy scent that attracted me to this bubble bar, not to mention the bright and glittery design! In the end the scent was a bit too subtle when in the bath, but I still really enjoyed using it. Full review here.
Re-purchase? This is a Christmas only product, but I would buy it again if it's re-released.

Kosmea Replenishing Moisture Cream 50ml* - £28.95
I used this rich moisturiser at night, sometimes adding some drops of facial oil, for a really nourishing and brightening moisture boost. It contains lots of lovely ingredients like Rosehip Oil, Carrot Oil and Shea Butter. Full review here.
Re-purchase? Maybe!

Organic Surge Lavender Meadow Hand and Nail Cream 75ml* - £4.50
With a subtle lavender scent, I kept this hand cream on my bedside table to use at night. It absorbs quickly and the Cocoa Butter softens and hydrates the skin well.
Re-purchase? No - although I liked it, it's not quite made the must have list!

Bourjois 1 Seconde Volume Mascara - £9.99
This is definitely my favourite budget mascara to date. It lengthens, defines, curls and adds some volume with a unique brush that has straight and spherical bristles. It featured in my recent My Favourite Makeup Discoveries of 2014 post.
Re-purchase? Yes, though I've bought the Ultra Black version.

If you're still reading, thanks for staying with me! What products have you used up recently? Are you a fan of any of the ones I've mentioned?

  2. I really need to remember to buy that shampoo! I ordered a cheeky Wella SP set in the Regis sale but after it's finished, I'm all over this. ;)

  3. I am LOVING the Bourjois mascara. It took me a few days to get used to it but now I fully adore it - it was actually on your recommendation that I bought it in the first place! Thanks for the link to the shampoo, I love that brand but always feel a bit guilty including it in the food shop at the supermarket...

    1. Aw wow that's amazing! I'm so glad you like the mascara, it's unusual that I buy the same mascara twice! You're welcome, the full price for the Organix range is a bit too much for me, but half price for it is a bargain :-) xx
