You Beauty Discovery Box December 2014

Last month I posted about my first You Beauty Discovery Box, which I was absolutely over the moon with. I've decided to keep the subscription running for a few more months a) because the box is so affordable at £6.95 inc. P&P and b) I want to see if the products to choose from are just as good every month! This month's You Beauty Discovery Box has a theme of "Party Prep".

The first product I chose was the COLAB London and Rio Dry Shampoo Duo (50ml each). London has a "classic" scent and Rio has a fresh, citrus scent. This is the dry shampoo launched with Ruth Crilly from A Model Recommends and I've wanted to try it since it was released, so I'm very excited to see if it's as good as everyone says!

For the second product it took me awhile to decide between either the Nourish Golden Glow Toning Body Shimmer (2ml) or the Kneipp Lavender Herbal Bath Oil (20ml). In the end I chose the latter, as despite my mountain of bath products, I don't have any lavender scented ones! I would have said that this was more for post party, however it does say that it helps combat fatigue, so maybe it would be good for one of those getting-ready-slowly-all-afternoon occasions! Other product options were from the brands Halo, Wilkinson Sword, Amie, Nip + Fab and Teeez.

Every box also includes a cute little Lindt chocolate bear, a sachet of the Yardley London Hydrating and Enriching Body Lotion and two sachets of Le Couvent des Minimes Hiker's Foot Healer.

Although I don't think this box is as good as November's, I still think it's a great little box. I haven't tried any of the brands before (apart from Lindt chocolate of course!), so the You Beauty Discovery Box is definitely living up to its name!

What do you think of this month's You Beauty Discovery Box? If you're subscribed what products did you choose?

  1. I love the edition of the chocolate bear, so cute! I haven't tried this box as I am already subscribed to birchbox and my little box but this one looks great to try out in the future. Great post.

  4. I've not tried this box before, it is a little more affordable that other though which is a good thing, I found with others I just ended up with a load of sachet samples so gave it up after a while...

    1. Same here to be honest, this is the first one I've subscribed to because there was a product in November's box I'd been desperate to try (Therapi Bath Salts). Sticking with it because it's so cheap and I'm really impressed so far xx

  9. Ooh I've been wanting to try a beauty box for ages, I'm liking the price tag of this one haha! Nice products too, and as far as I'm concerned every package should have something to eat inside!
