NOTD: One for Magpies - Rimmel Space Dust in Aurora

My sister bought me this gorgeous Rimmel Space Dust in Aurora for Christmas and for a magpie like me, this is the ultimate glitter nail varnish! Aurora is one of five shades in the range and a very light pink made up of very small concentrated glitter with larger silver glitter particles mixed throughout. I absolutely love this effect, though if it's a bit much for you it would look great as just an accent nail too.

I only applied two coats of Aurora to achieve a full coverage finish. The finish is textured so I didn't apply a top coat, yet it still lasted four days before chipping. It wasn't too bad to take off - you just need to hold the cotton pad over the varnish for a little bit before trying to remove.

Have you tried any of the Rimmel Space Dust shades? What's your favourite concentrated glitter nail varnish?

  1. I actually have this nail varnish on right now and I adore it!! Plus this is it's 5th day on and not a sign of chipping!

    1. Ooh 5 days is fab! I left mine on for another few days after the first chip and some of my nails didn't chip at all, it was just a few that did :-( xx

    1. It's a great, affordable buy! If I didn't know otherwise I'd think it was a higher end brand like Nails Inc xx

  8. These really are so pretty but if I'm honest I have avoided them thinking they'd be as bad as glitter to remove. As much as I love glitter nail varnish it's just not worth it for the amount of time it takes to remove :)

    1. It's not too bad but does take longer than your standard varnish xx
