So exactly one month ago, on 5th May, I started a two month beauty spending ban! I am very pleased to report that I am still going strong and have resisted any temptation that comes my way! The only product I have bought is a new cleanser after mine ran out and I have to say, it did feel a bit weird. This gives me a feeling that this spending ban really is going to benefit me in the long term.
In my last update I mentioned that I was lusting after the new Bourjois cream blushers and since then I have added a few more bits to my wishlist!
REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask / Indeed Laboratories Hydraluron Moisture Booster / Bobbi Brown Corrector
REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask - £30.00
This really isn't a cheap face mask but it is raved about in the blogger world. It is a "potent bio active peel mask
designed to renew the complexion, reduce the appearance of fine lines
and dramatically improve skin tone". Being an ingredient checker I have noticed that this contains alcohol denat, which I normally actively avoid. However I know from Caroline Hirons that sometimes alcohol is necessary to suspend certain products like acids in a solution - so I'm hoping this is the case... Any advice would be welcomed on this!
Indeed Laboratories Hydraluron Moisture Booster - £24.99
This is another raved about product that I really want to incorporate into my skincare routine. Hydraluron is a hydrating serum that contains a premium grade of hyaluronic acid and is designed to be used before moisturiser. I've found that my skin has really benefited from using a serum in the morning, but I've been using my Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair, which is a lot more expensive so ideally I'd like to stick to using it at night.
Bobbi Brown Corrector - £18.00
I've been intrigued by this product by a long time. My dark circles have been a lot worse than normal recently due to a lack of sleep and sometimes I just don't think concealer is enough! This is designed be applied before concealer to neutralise darkness. I'd quite like to see this in store and be properly colour matched, so this may well be a purchase for the blogger meetup I'm going to in July!
What's on your beauty wishlist right now? Are you on a spending ban and if so how are you finding it?
