May Empties

I'm seriously low on the empties this month! I am so close to finishing quite a few other products though, so perhaps June's post will be a biggie!

Dermalogica Dermal Clay Cleanser 250ml - £21.85 (online price)
I've been using this specific cleanser for a long time, as it's suited for skin with excess oil production and so is great at re-balancing mine! This bottle lasts me a good four or five months, but everytime I re-purchase the price has gone up! Full review here.
Re-purchase? I already have, but next time I may look elsewhere for a cheaper alternative.

Soap and Glory Flake Away 50ml - £2.50
Flake Away is one of Soap and Glory's body exfoliators, containing shea butter, sweet almond oil, peach seed powder, sea salt and sugar. I really wasn't taken with this product; I didn't find it exfoliating enough as it seemed to disappear into the skin really quickly. It smells nice though!
Re-purchase? No.

The Body Shop Lightening Touch Pen in Shade 01 - £14.00
This is a highlighting, light diffusing concealer that I've been using under my eyes to give extra radiance on top of a coverage concealer. It works really well and has a non-cakey, easy to blend formula, but it's just a bit expensive compared to others on the high street. Full review here.
Re-purchase? I'm still undecided - I think I will browse Boots first to see if I can find a cheaper alternative.

Caudalie Grape Water Spray 75ml - £5.40 (online price)
I'd been keeping this in my handbag to use throughout the day, to soothe, moisturise and refresh my skin. It is a 100% organic spray, that is suitable for all skin types. This is a product that does what it says on the tin and has a lovely refreshing scent. Full review here.
Re-purchase? No - Liz Earle's Skin Tonic Spritzer caught my eye so I purchased this instead.

What empties have you used up recently?

  2. I'm not too keen on Flake Away either as I like my exfoliators to be really gritty so I know that I'm getting rid of dead skin.

Regarding The Body Shop Lightening Touch Pen, there is a much cheaper dupe which is very similar to the YSL one! It's the Lacura Concealer Pen which you can find at Aldi - it's less than a fiver I believe and it lasts absolutely ages :) I've been repurchasing it for the last five years and I absolutely adore it! xo

    2. Thanks for the tip about the Lacura Concealer Pen! I've never been to an Aldi before, but there's one about twenty mins away from me so I'll have to make the trip! Yeah I like my exfoliators to be gritty too xx

  4. I've been meaning to pick up that Caudalie spray for a while now as it sounds really lovely, and I bet it'd be a godsend in hot weather! I'm a bit restricted with skincare at the moment though, thanks to problem skin, which has somewhat taken the enjoyment out of it for me - hasn't stopped me buying though, haha.
Hope you're having a lovely weekend.

    1. My skin was a nighmare too recently but it seems to have improved a lot since adding some new products to my skincare routine. The Caudalie Grape Spray but should be fine though as it hardly contains any ingredients and they're all natural :-) xx

  8. I was really interested to read about those products. I will be trying some dermalogica this week. I'm a bit worried about the prices, but I've heard nothing but good things about their products. I don't think I've tried a Body Shop product before but I'm pretty keen as they seem like a very ethical company. I guess it does come at a higher price though which is one reason I've put it off.

    1. Dermalogica is great - definitely recommend having their face mapping done, so they can recommend you the products that would work best for you! The price of The Body Shop concealer is a little off putting :s xx
