Review: Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner in Nude

I'd never been convinced by white eyeliners, so when I was recommended this Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner in Nude for brightening tired eyes, I thought it sounded like a more natural looking alternative to try!

The eyeliner itself is soft and creamy in texture and has a good colour pay off without needing to apply a lot, despite it being nude. I've been using it on my waterline, where it glides on effortlessly without catching or tugging. It starts wearing off on me after three or four hours. I've read other blogger reviews that say it lasts all day on them, so I may have particularly watery eyes or something! It looks natural and definitely brightens up my eye area- it's become a part of my daily makeup routine now!

Below is a picture of my eye without the eyeliner on the left and with it applied on the right. I applied a little more than normal, just so it shows up better.

The Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner costs £3.99 is available in quite a few other colours too; black, bright blue, deep purple, silver, bronze and taupe. I love the look of the taupe one, so I may have to go back and check this one out!

The Verdict
This is a great quality eyeliner and a staple for brightening tired eyes! I will definitely re-purchase. Ok, it doesn't last all day on me, but I can put up with re-applying considering it's so cheap!

Have you tried any of the Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliners? What are your staple products for tired eyes?

    1. It would be nice to not have to re-apply, but I've never found that kohl will last on my waterline all day, so I wasn't really expecting it to xx

    1. The difference is so noticeable if you're tired and your eyes are red, agree that it makes you look wide eyed and just brightens up that area!xx

  3. I need to get a nude eyeliner as well. The white ones look silly one me. :D

    1. Just never "got" white eyeliners, they never seemed to have a decent colour pay off to make a difference! Though this was a few years ago I tried one!xx

  6. I want to try this but I have tried nude liners in the past and they don't really do anything good for me. Against my tanned complexion they make me look ill! xo

    1. It is quite a pale colour, though slightly peachy! Never thought of how it would look on a tanned complexion but what you're saying definitely makes sense!xx

  7. I'm planning on getting this at the weekend, saw a review of it the other day and I was intrigued - I've also used white liner in the past and not found it did much for me! If I'm honest though, I'm a bit skeptical about this one too - will have to wait and see!

    1. It's worth a try for the price, I think it really comes into its own when your eyes are red from being tired (or hungover!!).xx

    1. Aw thanks! It doesn't seem to be necessary in the photos I took as my eyes are fairly awake looking and not red at all xx

  9. I've heard amazing things about this one, I need to try it out :) I love applying a gold pencil on my lower lash line, but I haven't tried it with a nude pencil yet!

    1. I don't usually bother with kohl on my waterline as it fades fairly quick and black is much more noticeable! I love my liquid eyeliner :-) xx

  10. Great to see what it looks like on! I've been tempted to get this as I'm not a fan of white on my waterline, after seeing how natural it looks like on I think I'm going to go for it :)

    1. The waterline is the piece of skin on the lower part of the eye, just above the bottom eyelashes. xx

  15. I love the color of this pencil except mine is hard and doesnt apply nicely at all, I might just have to figure out a way to heat it up with a lighter and make it creamy and easy to apply.

    1. Sounds like it needs some warmth, perhaps running it across your hand first may help? xx
