Review: No7 Extravagant Lashes Mascara

I haven't seen many reviews on this mascara, so I thought I'd get my two penneth worth!

When I buy mascara I want one that has curl power; I love having really curly eyelashes. I have quite long lashes but they're naturally very flat and really need some oomph! I use eyelash curlers before applying mascara, but most mascaras I've tried just don't hold the curl. Then I found No7 Extravagant Lashes. I've dared to try other mascaras, including Maybelline, MAC and Clinique, but so far I've always gone back to No7.

The description on the mascara is: "Extravagant loading for luxurious volume and a memory polymer that lifts and curls lashes". It is also hypo-allergenic.

My gripe about this mascara is that it does stick some of your lashes together, so I do have to use a mascara wand to separate them. But at the moment I compromise that for the fact I get nice curly lashes. It also has quite an odd smell, but this doesn't really bother me as I can only really smell it strongly if I hold the tube/wand close to my nose - when applying the mascara I don't really notice it.

This mascara is £12.50, but I usually re-purchase it when No7 issue the £5 vouchers with Boots purchases.

Have you used this mascara before? What do you think? Are there any other mascaras you'd recommend I try for serious curl power? (I've heard very good things about Benefit's They're Real mascara..)

  1. Great post! I've heard great things about They're Real as well although heard it dries out quite quickly, still want to try it though!

  2. Thanks! :-) Let me know what it's like if you do buy it. It's a bit more than I'd normally pay for mascara but if it works then it would be worth it!

  3. Maybe one of the worst mascaras ever. So much comes out on the end of the brush you wipe away a lot of product just to use it. Very disappointed for the price. Far better to buy Benefit's They're Real for a similar type of effect - where you actually get the effect.
